Nose

Well balanced buttery malt and spicy hops, with a hint of bubblegum at first.

Palate

Bittersweet, with an ever-present dryness to the creamy malt that makes the beer rather moreish. It's full bodied, too, with a suggestion of toffee and a tart hop note.

Finish

Dry, malty and gently toffee-like with hops building all the time. Slightly savoury.

Comment

A nicely balanced celebration of ecofriendly brewing from the green guys in Southwold. It's not as hoppy as other recent Adnams additions such as Explorer and Innovation, but pleasant nonetheless. The moreish dryness is the best feature.
