Nose
Juicy melon and orange. Bready and yeast-spicy. Bubblegum emerges.
Palate
Sweet and warming. Orange-fruity with spicy yeast notes and a delicate hop bitterness.
Finish
Juicy orange notes persist even as dryness sets in as bitterness develops. Still mostly sweet, however, with a little alcoholic warmth.
Comment
An enjoyable dark golden beer from the latest recruit to the Trappist brewers' fraternity.
